2010 rear end
#13
I saw every model of the 2010 Mustang at the 45th Mustang show in Birmingham last weekend and the only model I "kind of liked" was the Roush 427 do to its body kit but besides that I still don't like them. To me they just look too much like a cross between the new Camero and the new Charger. I think the 2010 is kind of like when Ford made the Mustang II, ya, its kind of nice looking but just not what you would espect to see in a Mustang.......

i'll back up ford and say that this model is a step up. sure there are a few features that aren't so favored (tail lights) but overall it still looks plenty mustang to me. if anything, the new camaro looks more "mustang influenced" than it does classic camaro inluenced.
as for the engine, ford is going with what works.... AND SELLS! the economy's situation right now is not friendly to bigger engines and higher prices. i think the mustang will continue to survive because it is much more affordable and so easy to mod to whatever power we want out of it. the competition has a lot more to risk during these times IMO. hopefully the other "big two" will get their $hit together and keep this sporty/muscle car race going! consumers will only benefit.

just read that FORD stock rose based off much less of a loss this quarter than was expected. they are spending much less and losing much less. supposedly no bailout will be needed by FORD. this answers some of the questions of why FORD didnt go bigger with the engine, styling, etc. its already a solid car with a solid price.... why hurt the consumer and present something that is less obtainable in this financial crisis..... good job FORD and lead the way!
