Question PRO 5.0 3.90'S ???

I am looking into getting these and wondering if anyone else has gone with the pro 5.0 gears yet, and how they are working. Also wondering about noise (gear whine) with the 3.90. One other thing I already have 3.55's and wondering your opinions on whether this is a large enough step up or not.

Thanks for any info.

I had the Pro 5.0 4.10's installed and they do whine. Right around 40mph and up you can hear them. Get the ford racing gears, everybody has better experience with them and if you go with ford they don't come in a 3.90. I would get the 4.10's.

From what I understand, no gear should whine if installed properly, even Motives.

I've had Pro 5.0 4.10's in my GT for about 60,000 miles with no issues except minor gear whine. It's not enough to worry about, but of course, I do remember how quiet the stock 3.55's were. I know they were installed right but some manufacturers gears are supposed to be better than others. I got them priced right but, if I had to do it over again, I'd probably go with Ford Racing.

Wont the 3.90's have less of a chance of whining than the steeper 4.10's

its possible, but either way if installed correctly no gears should whine at all, maybe a little but after they get broken in they should not while, if they do its faulty work
