Default Offroad x/h pipe with bullitt mufflers

First off I'd like to say hi. Im new to this site and also new to the Mustang world. Ive always been a GM guy when it came to performance cars. Had quite a few F-bods and a C5 FRC with 452 rwhp that I sold last fall. Just bought a DHG 08 Bullitt with 500 miles last week and want to get the ball rolling on some basic mods.

So on to my question...does anyone have any sound clips of an offroad x/h pipe with the stock bullitt mufflers? Ive done a search and have come up with nothing.

Thanks
Jeff

You may or maynot like the way this set-up sounds. O/R X with a chambered type muffler such as the Bullitt axlebacks tend to sound raspy, especially at higher RPMS. I would go with an O/R prochamber or prochamber with hi-flow cats and the Bullitt axlebacks.

Thanks for the reply's guys. I found a vid of a stock bullitt with an offroad x or h last week and now I cant find it. I remember it sounding pretty good on the video. Are there any gains to be had from just doing an offroad h/x or is it gonna be more for sound?

Vista, I think Im gonna stick with the stock bullitt A/B's to keep the car fairly tame sounding. If I do change my mind I will get in touch with you...

IMO, the only muffler that sounds good with an o/r x is the regular Magnaflows. I was lucky to be able to test drive several mufflers, before making a decision. An x pipe, o/r or with cats, sounds and performs better with a through type muffler. With that in mind, I tried Magnaflow Magnapaks, Pypes Violators, FRPP Borla Stingers and Regular Magnaflows. Although they all sound good at WOT, all but the Magnaflows made the car sound like a Bubba truck with no mufflers while cruising--just loud and unrefined.
