Default Oil in intake

I took of my throttle body today and I found that there was a a coating of oil in the intake. Is this a common thing or do you think that the crankcase vent is bad? My car is a 2010 GT with a little over 1000 miles.

our cars have a blow by design witch shoots unused oil back into the intake( could definately be wrong) but a lil is ok but on a car with 1000 miles that seems a little odd

i got 2 words for ya, oil separator.

but just how much oil is in there? got pics?
mine had a little in there when i had 5k miles.
you could do oil separator, catch can, or crank case breathers. those will solve your problem, if its just regular blowby.

There isnt much oil in there just enough to see a film of it inside the intake. I think I am going to put in a oil seperater to see how much I pull out.

The car is designed for this to happen.

When I removed my intake to install my supercharger, I was surprised at how much oil was in there. I mentioned catch cans and oil separators to Edelbrock and they said not to bother and that the car was designed to work this way. There's nothing wrong with it.

^^^ What he said^^^ This is common and NOT a problem. Please do not waist your money on an oil seperator unless you just like the look and to say that you have one . You know everytime you use your trans as a break to slow the car down is when you allow most of the oil to form around the intake. No harm, but why would you remove your intake with so little miles?

I would think most of the oil comes from the pcv valve; it gets into the intake by design.
A filter between the pcv and intake will stop that.

I was looking to see how hard the Steeda delete plugs would be to install
