Default Wheel Spacers

Has anyone used wheel spacers to provide outboard clearance for bigger brake calipers?

I have inch wheel spacers on my front tires in order to clear my GT500 brakes. I decided to lbe azy one day and take my car to get the rear brakes changed and a front end alignment while I was there. They pulled off the driverside wheel to find 2 bolts snapped, 1 bolt stripped and the remaining 2 bolts cut half way off. I was lucky to not have my tire part ways on the freeway getting there. Needless to say I am waiting for new rims. I don't recommend them. And if you do get bigger brakes make damn sure your rims will fit before hand.

i put them on the rear not the front, im not sure that size spacer would be intended for use on the front.i looked on american muscle, they say 1 inch spacers for rear wheels, no mention of use on front.

I wouldnt recomend them. The stress leveraged on the lugs as they get farther from the axle is dramatic. It just asking for a failure...
