Default Throttle Body Question

08 GT stock. What size is the throttle body and is there an upgrade size wise that utilizes all the existing components attached?

I don't recall the size of the stock TB but if you're contemplating an aftermarket TB for anything other than going FI or doing some significant internal mods, don't bother. The stock TB is more than adequate for anything but those mods requiring a LOT of extra air flow. Additionally, aftermarket TB installs can often be troublesome.

The stock TB is twin 55mm bores. A good upgrade is the GT-500 unit with spacer especially if you're going to get it tuned. L&M TB's are are great too but a bit on the expensive size, they flow extremely well. I don't buy into the crap TB's do nothing. I felt an instant gain in power just bolting one on to my car even without a tune.

TB's do nothing on stock or mildly modded cars. The butt-dyno is notoriously inaccurate.
