Hey guys whats up? Been a long time since I was last on here. Been on SVTPERFORMANCE.COM mostly since I had a 07 GT500. Well that's long gone. and I now have a 08 GT. I have the SCT x3 from the last car still, however I'm kinda scared to hook it up. When I pulled the tune from the Shelby when I turned it in. the odometer was all dashes. I turned the key 7 times before it finally came back to my mileage reading. When I went to start it. It wouldn't start. Fought for about 4 minutes to get it started. Immediately was running rough. Scared the crap outta me since the car was a trade in and they wouldn't take a none working car. Ever since then I'm scared to plug the tuner into my new GT for fear of the same thing happening except me not being able to get it started or the dash to work again. Am I just being a big baby about it or do I have reasonable fear. I plan on adding mac long tubes and pro-chamber to the car next month but am scared of loading the tune.

 

If it gave you that problem previously, I can only assume it's from the canned tunes. Dump them for some quality custom tunes from Brenspeed or AM written specifically for your PCM. Plus, AM (Bama) will provide free updated tunes for when you do the LT's.

 

Brenspeed will do free tunes as well, if you buy the supporting mods from them. AM, I assume, does it regardless of where you buy the mods?

The Tune that I had for the Shelby was a semi custom tune from amazon. When I returned the car to stock was when I was having trouble getting the mileage to come back or the car started. It was with the stock tune loaded that the car wouldnt respond
