I hope you got a custom tune for those headers cause you need one. Kooks HF cats are prone to break and clog. JDM told me to take off my HF cats after installing my m90, which I did. Your gonna love the new power thats for sure!!
I do have a custom tune for the Kooks LT but think i will wait to put them on.The guy at Stage 3 said i should see how i like it with the stock ones on first.Guess if i dont use them someone will get a hell of a deal on some new Kooks Lt & catted X!!!!
is that all aftermarket cats, or just the kooks ones? i was just about to pull the trigger on some bbk long tubes and catted x. i know someone will say get another brand, but the stuff is new and a damn steal so I'm not passing it up.
Its all Kooks stuff that i mite put on.Not sure if im going to put them on or not.Have to see how the car does after the install of the M90.
ok...what am i missing here...where is everyone getting these things for $3,700???
I got my M90 from Stage 3. They have them for the 07,08,& 09 Gts.They are sold out of the rest.Only have 4 left for the 07-08s & 2 for the 09s.Just cant beat that price no matter what!!!
Where ya been Jake? They have been on sale since October. Gary Yeoman Ford I believe is the only place that still has stock. Call em up fast dude.....it aint gonna last.
Shane, Brenspeed sells the metallic ones that are for FI applications. The ceramic ones are the ones that melt and to be avoided. Metallic ones are expensive too...
Ive never heard of ones melting before? How do you know if the one you are buying is the ceramic one that melts?? I thought Roush was the top of the line in superchargers? Hope mine doesnt melt!!! I will be Pi@@ed!!
Unfortunately, that's the one thing a timeslip won't tell you. I have a G-tech, but I don't have 100% faith in its 0-60 estimates. All I can say for sure is that if you're on the right tires, you can easily pull 0-60 times below 4 seconds with our setups.
There's a calculator that someone has come up with to convert your 1/8th miles time into a 0-60.
whats this talk of a tune for LTs? i thought you only needed a tune if you were needing to turn off the sensors for an OR x or somethign. i talked to justin at VMP just hte other day about if i needed to turn off the rear o2s and he said the tune I had was fine.
If you install LTs on a F/I application and don't tune for them you could actually lose power due to reduced backpressure.
that's strange, i told justin i was doing headers soon and asked if the tune needed anything and he said it was fine as is. I specifically asked him again just now. Also i got with BBK tech on the catted x-pipe, they use metallic core cats and say they are fine for FI and in fact they have the same cats on a GT500 in their dev fleet for tens of thousands of miles and all is fine.
i thought you only had to tune for things that affect the AFR and headers only got that air the blower huffed in out faster. i know it will reduce back pressure, resulting in lower boost, but the flow is supposed to make more power. at least that's my noob, not a mechanic understanding of what they do.
Trust me, you won't regret it. Imagine going full bolt on's, and then adding an extra 30 more whp... because that's how much power the M90 will be making on low boost!
I get 30 HP from adding ice to the cool box or just a decent change in the air.
30hp? Really that's it from an M90? Say it aint so.
