Well, I placed the order for Pype Bombs with Brenspeed. I'm crossing my fingers hoping they arrive this week, the install goes ok Saturday, and I don't regret the decision when I fire it up. I drove the car to work today and as usual it was really loud in the garage on cold starup and as soon as the RPMs drop off and I get out of the garage, I never heard the exhaust again. Hopefully I'll get that nice deep exhaust note I'm looking for without waking the neighbors and pissing off the wife!

The Pype Bombs came this week and I put them on today. Definitely not what I was looking for. I started it up and they were really loud at fast idle but quieted down nicely at slow idle. At that point, I was thinking I was all set. Then I went for a drive. As long as I kept it below 1500 rpms, things were good. Above that, the drone was terrible. At WOT, it was loud, but not horrible - sounded good. Problem was at cruising and normal acceleration. Way too loud and droning. Under normal acceleration, it was loud, but not too loud. The sound was not pleasant, though. It actually gave me a headache after a short drive. I came home and put the stock exhaust back on.
