Changing pistons and rods?

Changing pistons and rods?
Hello from Norway!
I have an '06 GT without any mods at this time. The stock engine has way too little power for me so I have just bought a second engine with an Edelbrock supercharger on it from a guy that tried to push 12psi through it....
He was making 466 RWHP when it blew up.
I dont want to end up with a hole in the block like he did, but I want to make around 550 crank HP safely with this supercharger.
My question is: will I be fine with forged rods and pistons? I am guessing the stock crank will hold up to 700+ before strength is an issue with it?
It seems to me that this will be adequate based on other engines I have built before (not Ford engines though).
Thanks

based on your power goals, i think most would agree the answer is yes.
BruceH did what you are proposing, but used a new block and crankshaft
for the build.
you can see how he did it here:
