Default 3650 tranny fluid change?

I know this topic has been beaten to death but after reading all the posts I could find, I'm still confused. I want to change my fluid and I have 5 qts of Dexron III in my shop. I have seen guys says to use Moble 1, RP Amzoil and Dexron III.

Seeing I have 5 qts of Pennzoil Dexron III, should I just go and use that? I do have some grinding issues from 1st to 2nd gear at RPM's over 4,000 - 5,000 at times.

Your thoughts?

Ford recommends Mercon V as you probably know, although I understand that Tremec recommends Mobil 1 ATF or Dexron III (don't quote me on that). I'd say if you use the Dexron III also add Lubegard to make the Dexron III act more like Mercon V just to be safe.

The tremec web site states dexron III for the 3650. I know ford says dexron V but i understand thats wrong.

Correction. Tremec states dexron III but you can use dexron V.

I switched to RP on my Mustang with 57k on the clock. I had the same problems shifting from 1-2 at high RPMs. After about 700 miles I can now make the shift and it seems to be getting better every day.

I'm leaning towards RP, I'm going to call Tremec tomorrow just to see what they say.
