emissions and car dealership screwed me over

Yep thats an insta fail
The computer in the testing bay knows what should be there and if its not then fail.
I've read plenty of posts about this, people that really want LT's but then go in and there is absolutely no way to get them to reliabily pass.
the closest would be to drive at high RPM for awhile to get the Rear O2's hot then immediately pull in for the test, before the O2's can cool off.

There is ready, not ready, and not supported. Not supported will pass the OBDII test. I live in MA and have passed with no cats for 3 years in a row.
Maybe time to change your mind about getting those LT's? Also I find most of the posts you read on this the people have no idea what they are talking about.
Also, unless you're using a tooner, a real tuner can change the O2 heater circuits, and you won't have the O2 heating issues. LT's CAN cause a bunch of idle issues because the front O2's are so far downstream from where they are stock.

Wow, the dealership neglected to tell you the car did not have cats?
I recently purchased a used SUV for the wife and they provided me with a copy of the emissions test, which states it passed. The emissions test is good for a year, so I don't have to get another done when I renew the vehicle registration, which I have to get done tomorrow.
I have emissions friendly custom tunes from Brenspeed and haven't run into any issues passing emissions. =-)
Good luck!

Particular CAI with custom tunes may not pass due to not being emissions friendly. If I recall correctly, some people with custom tunes have failed emissisions due to their 02 sensors being turned off. The company that wrote the tune would need to rewrite a new custom tune with the O2 sensors turned on.

And yes, most tuners just shut off the rear O2's and cause you to fail, but you just worded it like Brenspeed did some magic to make you pass.
Passing without cats gets you a cookie!

I know a couple of people that have Brenspeed custom tunes and they did not pass emissions due to their custom tune shutting off the 02 sensors. When I ordered my Brenspeed custom tunes, I made sure mine were emissions friendly, so nothing special. ;-)

If you have a tuneable CAI with no custom tune, the car will most likely throw a code and it will not pass emissions. At least here in GA, it will not pass. I have a CAI, which does not require a tune and never had any issues throwing codes or anything.

^Thats what happened the first year I went in with just a tune. 02's were off, so i was told to reload to stock and try again.
Slight pain in the butt, but it could be worse. Now I'm glad I dont have to futz around and switch tunes or swap pipes for emissions once a year.
