Roush Front Fascia

Roush Front Fascia
I bought and installed a Roush Front Fascia on my GT 2008, I love the look but I had a question as I know a lot of people went for that look too: even if I love the look as it is, I'm concerned about not having a lower grille ? Is there an actual risk for my radiator? Has anyone ever had this type of issue or I shouldn't worry about it?

I have a Roush fascia on my 09. Check out Stage 3 Motorsports, they sell a couple different lower grilles for the Roush. I forgot the brand of the one I bought, but it definitely works - there are marks on it where it has stopped various road debris.
The grille also sits way inside the opening so it isn't really noticeable either, and it was very easy to install

I had that fascia on my 07 and ran without a lower grille. My only concern was possibly picking up debris into the radiator
You could always pick up some gutter guard (it's a mesh-cut metal, light and easily bendable) and make your own.
I was planning on doing this, but traded it in for a 12 but still used the gutter guard for fog light deletes...
Heres a pic or 2 so you have a better idea of the material

Thanks jpplaw just went on Stage 3 motorsports to check that lower grille out, the reviews are not very good about it, they say it rusts... But I'm gonna keep on looking on the internet or try to make something myself like steel pony did, at least now I know that there is a risk for my radiator!

I don't think the risk to the radiator is that great. The stock bumpers leave at least half of the lower opening fully unprotected and the honeycomb of the upper has large enough openings to allow a nice sized rock to get through, and anything larger would break through the plastic anyway.
Besides, I haven't found any lower grilles that look good, I guess they have a mesh on the side openings, so you could try to match that?

In the first place, your radiator is the last think in the stack of coolers. If you have a/c, your condenser would be first. If you have an automatic, the cooler would be next.
I've ran the roush facia, open at the bottom, for about 4 years now, never had issues with anything getting in there, except bugs, lol.

Yeah I took a look this morning and I could see quite a few bugs. I'm gonna keep on looking for a nice lower grille and if I can't find one or make one I'll just leave it like that. Thanks for the answers
