cmcp or intake manifold

cmcp or intake manifold
So I am wondering if some techies can help me out with this one... which should I get? I know cmcp is cheaper and I know the ford racing intake manifold looks better but in the long run would I make more hp with the intake? Can someone give me pros and cons and then which they would choose and why? Thx guys

The Ford Racing manifold has integrated Charge Motion Delete Plates - so better all around except more expensive.
You'll pick up a bit of power with either and maybe even notice it too! I picked up a pair of Steeda CMDP's because $600 for a manifold is a lot for me to spend on a non-FI car. Looks cool though.

Kinda off the point of what you're asking, I do have the Manifold I removed from my car for sale and I'm located in the same state. However, the choice is really up to future plans, the frpp will really bode well with FI if that is your future route and like said above the cmdp's are a cheaper solution that shows just the same gains.

HHHmmm the intake manifold is useless unless you get cams that make power up to 7,500 RPM which is completely useless for s street car. I assume you're not eve planning on a positive displacement supercharger?

IMO (and from what I've been told by more knowledgable people) the FFRP intake isn't worth it.
you get the gain of the CMCV delete but the added ability to flow beyond that won't be made use of unless you go turbo or non-streetable cams (and getting to a 7,500 or higher redline will take likely a full rebuild) (I've heard you'd really need to push it to 9,000 as the FFRP starts to show gains at 7,500 but would keep going a for a bit.)
IMO get some epoxy and delete the CMCV's from your existing intake. (thats kinda what I'm planning)

I picked up NO GAINS from delete plates, it is however recommended when going to FI that you do at least delete plates, Ill find a write up on this if you need one. Me personally I would go with the ford racing intake as there is proven gains on a stock motor small but still gains. If you plan to go FI and build your motor you'll be glad you did. (the ford racing will work better with cams as already stated and with longtubes)
