Default Cammed using oil and random misfire code

2005 gt cammed, Intake, longtubbed headers and tuned.

I've been throwing a "random misfire code" I don't have any performance issues besides every now and then, happend twice between 71k-90k, down the highway I shift to third and take off to pass a car and it hesitates. It's using oil fast, half a quart to 1 quart a month or so, and there are no signs of leakage or oil splatter on the engine. Can anyone tell me what this might be. I did some research and I found something about a piston ring being out. If that's the case it's a big issue correct? I'm not looking to invest tons of money to keep my car running, it's my daily driver.

Any help please, I don't want to end up ruining my engine and out of a car and money.

Thanks

Do you use an oil separator on the PCV line? When is the last time you changed plugs? Are you seeing any bluish smoke from the exhaust?

Pick up a separator like a JLT or UPR, plug and play. No bluish smoke is a good sign, if it was a bad ring it would definitely smoke.
You might even have the original plugs in that motor, I'd change them but you have to be extremely careful when you do, they often break off in the head. There's plenty of threads on here on how to remove them.
