A few days ago i noticed the car shifting weird, the clutch was disengaging but very slowly. When i press on the pedal it comes back slowly, sometimes the pedal will come back up and the clutch feeling will slowly comeback. I have an after market quadrant and fire wall adjuster and have attempted to adjust the clutch with no success, after looking at the pedals i see that when i press the clutch the quadrant moves and so does the clutch cable, however when i let go of the clutch pedal the quadrant moves back and the cable does too but very slowly and not in sync with the quadrant. Could this be a stretched or broken cable, messed up clutch fork, Throw out bearing failure? maybe even bad clutch?
Quick Things to Note:
It is very cold out side right now, below freezing.
The clutch feels fine after driving a while
if i pump the clutch a bunch it will feel normal. its hard to see but the Clutch Quadrant is retracted and the clutch cable is taking its sweet time disengaging
Any help would be greatly appreciated
... etc ... quadrant moves and so does the clutch cable ... etc ...
You might get more replies / help in the 1996-2004 section. This is the 2005-14 section, unless they have multiple Mustangs, may here will have little experience with clutch cables as '04 and up use a hydraulic clutch set up.

It sounds as though the throw-out bearing is SLOW to return to it's rest position, possibly due to damage to the transmission front bearing retainer, congealed lube and crap on it, or both. I cannot fault any other part in the system to cause your symptoms. If the rubber seal surrounding the clutch release fork, sealing it where it exits the bell housing, can be pried out, the interior of the housing may be partially visible with a strong light. Carefully spraying a directed stream of lubricant like LPS-2 straight in onto the throw out bearing pilot might free up the movement. Don't get lube on the clutch itself!
