Default Wierd collant issue?

Alright, so I have my mustang Here with an odd problem? Or maybe not a problem, this is my first mustang and probably should not have been but we are here now.
its an 2007 Mustang GT 4.6L V8

So I've had this issue where it has coolant, it I think cycles through and does what its supposed to but every time i check the resivour its just gone, reduced to atoms.

Tonight i get off work, and for whatever reason I have a gut feeling to check my resivour.
I look at the resivour...no coolant...bone dry
uhhhhhhhh...that's not good.
Dont know how long its been like that so I use the small plug on the bottom of the radiator to see if I can drain some out.
Coolant comes out.
Wat..?
I then buy some nice Motorcraft Gold coolant. Pour it into the resivour, not all the way, nor do i top it off cause I have no idea if it just doesn't cycle properly or if it does but I put a fair amount in.
I then let it sit for a minute and start the car, does the normal operations, drive home 30 minutes with no overheating, no sweet smelling anything coming from anywhere (Even before i started driving), ect. and check it when i got home
No Coolant
What the Fu-?
Decided to leave it for about 4 hours so it can cool down from normal operating temps and see if it's leaking from somewhere.
no leakage, no puddles, no leaks on the radiator itself and if you can guess it, still no coolant in the resivour.

W h a t . . . ?

This discovery has lead me to a bit of panic, cause its my daily driver and my only way to and from work. Opinions on what it could be?

Next time shine a flashlight into the valley of the engine underneath the intake manifold immediately after you shut the engine off. A common leak source is the plastic elbow of the heater hose assembly. While the engine's running, it may be leaking too slowly and the coolant is evaporating quickly on the hot engine. Shutting the engine off will reveal if there's a leak almost immediately as you might see some coolant dribble down to the back of the engine.
