Default 89 notch rebuild

Sup guys, im new here and in the process of completly rebuilding an 89 mustang notchback. My plans for it is to go old school and get rid of the efi and go carb. There wont be any computer controls in it. Im lookin for a serious street car but wont ever see the track. The car was a 4 banger but i ripped that out the other day and found an 82 302 block. Any ideas what i should do?

It depends... whats "serious" to you. Are we talking a serious 331 or are we talking a "serious" 408W? Are you def going to use the 83 block? If your not too serious about using that I would consider a 393W (or something along those lines... maybe smaller... hey. maybe BIGGER )
