Default EGR vaccum line

Actually I just did this last weekend on my '93, Instead of plugging the line, I actually disconnected the two short lines on either side of the egr, and I put in a new piece of piping, bypassing the egr line, therefore not heating up the air on the way into the intake manifold. the whole project took about 20 min once you got the new piece of pipe and 2 clamps, good luck

the line that carries the freon to the throttle body spacer or the egr spacer (the thing between the throttle body and the intake manifold) I cant say I noticed a difference, because at the same time I went from the stock tb and spacer to a 70mm throttle body and 70mm spacer, which made a big difference...I just disconnected the line on either side and put a single longer hose in completely bypassing the throttle body spacer....good luck

the line u r talking about in the tb spacer that carrys antifreeze?? if so by taking them off and rerouting them will cool down ur airintake tem for the summer but will also not heat it up for the winter!!! u will have to wait a little longer so ur engine warms up<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>svoteam</editID><editDate>37857.8107175926</editDate></edited>

just pull the lines off and plug them and then tuck them below the throttle body and nobody will ever now anything was there. and put some nice little vacuum caps over the two spouts in the spacer.

i see no point in diconecting the egr , it does not work at wot , and the pcm has set adders and mulipliers which compensate for timing when it goes on . unless the pcm knows its off , you may or may not get problems . imo not worth doing .

no freon runs thru the t/b just hot antifreeze only there to aid in cold weather starts...plug them and plug out the temp sensor wrap in foil put a plug in it's place..this will allow for the check engine light form coming on and will add a few free ponies
