Was wondering on a 89 mustang gt if i were to switch to a GT40 inake should i use spacer, and what exactly will they do? Next question is if i should will it clear my hood? Lastly if so should i get 1" or 1/2"? THX for any Remarks or answers!

The bigger the better. I can't answer your clearance problem but I can answer what they do. All they do is space the plenum from the lower plenum so heat can't be transfered as quickly and easily to the upper. Meaning your air stays cooler. Best mod you can do for the price.

I'm pretty sure the 1" spacer won't clear the stock hood. Not sure about anything less than that.

Anyomore Answers guys??? I am seriously looking into getting this GT40 Intake and want to know if i should go with spacers and if so will 1/2 or 1 inch clear my hood? Anyone out there done this mod???

If you still have the stock hood gspfunk already told you it wont fit. Is it still stock?

he said he didnt think it woud fit...but ok i guess you guys are saying for sure it wont...what about the 1/2 inchers?
