I'd lean towards more power with an u/l intake along with a larger MAF over the 1.7's.

Definatly get the upper and lower intake, a 65 or 70mm throttle body, and a larger MAF.

A little junkyard upgrade can be done there. Go to the junkyard, and find a 4.6L thunderbird, cougar, lincoln, or whatever, find one with a MAF plug that matches your stock MAF, take it home, and put it in your car. Its a factory 70mm throttle body set up for 19# injectors

I would honestly just ebay an aftermarket MAF.

To save money then yeah go to the junkyard or spend the extra bit and get a C&L trueflow kit. Ebay 206 dollars and you get a 76mm MAF with 70mm pipe all the way from filter to throttle body. You would just take the chip off of your MAF and put in on the new one.

Edit: but yeah for power you will see much more gain in the upper and lower intake manifold. But save up and do the rockers at the same time cause you will have to take the upper and lower off anyways.

Why? Its not like spending 200 bucks is going to get a better MAF for a relatively stock car.

The only reason to upgrade MAF's is when you need injectors really, theres no use on a very mild street car.
