driveshaft rubbing
i have noticed that lately my driveshaft has been rubbing on the emergency brake cables on the underside of my car. i have a completly stock suspension and the car is not lowered at all. has anyone else run into this problem or know how i could possibly fix it?

RE: driveshaft rubbing
neither is the case. cables are properly attached and driveshaft does not vibrate ect.
my friend had this exact thing happen to him but his car was lowered. he replaced rear controll arms and the that fixed it.
i was just wondering if anyone else had run into this before?

RE: driveshaft rubbing
do you have an aluminum driveshaft? aluminums are bigger in diameter and its pretty common to see a wear ring on the driveshaft from hitting the cables on bumps and stuff. its no big deal, as long as its not constantly rubbing, i drove my old car for 2 years with an aluminum driveshaft hitting the cables and it caused virtually no wear at all.

RE: driveshaft rubbing
i have stock suspension and stock driveshaft. there is also another little body tab in front of where the cables come down thru the body that is rubbing. i am going to bend that over and see what happens.
it really annoying hearing a loud whine every time i leave a stop light.
