Default horn button

Has anyone replaced the horn button assembly on their airbag equipped steering wheel (1991 mustang)? If so do you know where I can find instructions?

Thanks in advance.

never done this, but I'm sure a chilton's or hayne's would cover it

Neither covers it. Just wing it dude. Take the steering wheel apart and take the mechanism about. I think there are four bolts in the back of the wheel that lets all of the horn and C/C system controls come out.

Thanks for the replies.

As with many other projects on this car, I would just dig in and carefully start taking stuff apart but... that whole airbag thingy has me worried.

1. I don't want that sucker deploying on me.

2. Don't want to possibly damage/screw-up the air bag function. *knock on wood*, if the day comes that I need that balloon to deploy I would like it to do so correctly.

Was hoping someone knew of a technical article out there.

Might have to take this one to the dealer...
