Default K&N cone on mass air

How can I connect the K&N cone filter onto the mass air and keep it from bouncing and ripping off?

short term - zip ties and/or duct tape.

long term, get yourself a fenderwell CAI.

I have a BBK CAI that mounts to the fenderwall.. one day i was going to clean the filter and to my suprise there was no filter hooked up to the intake tube! though it was in the fender well and somewhat protected i was still having dirt sucked into my engine since the last time i cleaned teh filter.. about 2 weeks. very dangerous. what i did was use my k&n filter and get a piece of aluminum tubing that was the right diameter and slide this inside the air filter rubber and the tightend the CRAP out of the metal clap that held it in place. it came off a couple times at first but once i messed w/it i havent had anyproblems since and i have disgarded the inlet pipe that goes into the fender well because i didnt trust that i could get the filter to tighten up good enough to saty on that little 3/4 piece that sticks out into the fender.

get a good hose clamp? that's exactly what i have and mine has never came off. if it bounces still, just make a bracket that screws into the metal end of the filter and mounts to the engine bay.
