K&N on BBK CAI...

I hated the airfilter that came with my BBK CAI and went to the parts store and the only K&N they had that fit was supposed to be for '96-'00 GM fullsize trucks and SUVs. The filter was a perfect fit to the CAI but it's huge compared to the BBK filter. Is this going to be any difference and if so what?

It'll flow better...shouldnt be a down side unless it doesnt fit or something.
