every now and then my 88 gt will buck and hesitat. the plugs and wires and cap are new. i soaked the motor in water while it was running and i did not see any signs of a misfire. i went thru the rain and it didnt mis it just hesitates every now and then. my fuel gauge also is goofy way above full and way below. then any where it wants. also i semll raw gas when driving but cant find a gas leak .help

have you checked your Grounds?... mine did that exact same thing. i found that out after installing new sparks, spark wires and a distributer cap, and replacing the module on the distributor. the only problem was a loose ground.

Since your car is an 88 try a new fuel pump and filter if you havent done so or if there any signs of your pump being bad.. Maybe check your tps voltage as well.... some times they come loose and alter your set voltage. Just my 2cents.
