Default RE: couple problems

well i just took some before and after pics

the rubber ended up deteriating to nothing so that left me with a round aluminum piping.

i took the hose off and spun the aluminum piece around

it still makes like a guzzling sound. makes my car sound like its a 502 and not a 302

but atleast now its not disconnected. the aluminum piece didnt fit perfectly but atleast theres some connection now.. i also took a peak at my MAF which was spotless. the TB looked a little greasy but i assume thats normal.

Harbor Freight has the thermometers pretty cheap...you get what you pay for but it may work wonders or may be junk....your choice.

Get a good gauge and see what the engine temp really is.

The first image,
That's an air check valve. That connection is broken and the valve needs to be replaced. It's like having an exhaust leak.

Dude if your buddy is a mustang builder tell him to do somethin' else. That part you posted in the pic has NOTHING to do w/ the water pump!!!

ford discontinued those hoses, mine was brittle and had a huge hole in it. I went to the junkyard and pulled 5 of them for future. The hoses are on any 5.0 motor.
