any one know what size belt i need if i want to bypass the smog pump ??

i can tell you tomorrow when its not dark outside. But i also have underdrive pulleys. so mine might be too small for you.

i have an 82 w/ no smog pump and a crank underdrive pulley and a/c. There was a little slack in the 82 w/ the underdrive, you might be okay w/ an 82 with stock crank pulley, but if they have an 83 (I don't know if they do or not) I'd get that.

i used the 770k6 it goes on but is tight when installingbut is perfect fit once its on! routes the same way as the stock belt minus the smog there is another belt that changes the routing but i dont know the size sorry

do you have A/C? What year 5.0?

I used a 4060935 (93.5 inch belt) for mine with A/C but I'm doubting there's going to be enough on the crank (because of A/C) when I eventually start it up, might have to buy that kit :\

Well if you are already rerouting your belt to miss your smog pump, arent you better off just taking off the pump and losing weight while your at it? How difficult is it to remove the pump?

i will remove the smog pump sooner or later but right now i cant see spending the 40 bucks for the bypass but i can see spending 10 for a new belt
