sounds like theyre only breaking when theres some motor flex or chassis torque. Hows the clearance all the way around the motor. Have someone rev it with the hood open. Is there any amount of excessive flex in the motor??

I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier...... Have you checked\tightened the trans to motor bolts?

In the same vein, have you checked for broken or loose motor mounts. Also, check the transmission mount, and are you certain the starter bolts are tightening up. Basically look for anything that could allow a shock load on the starter, engine, transmission, etc.

i checked the trans to engine bolts there all tight.. i even checked to make sure the dowel pins are still in the block.. i cant find anything that will cause this that i can see.. its gota be something inside the bellhousing.. im am lost and about to give up
