damn ive been seeing a lot of these kinds of posts, kinda makes me think i should get hood pins too
I'll be pinning any fiberglass hood that goes onto my car.... I've seen too many Mutangs in the junkyard with cowl damage; roughly 25% of them if i were to guess..... I'd like to believe that the former owner's of the junked 'stangs were just stupid & didn't latch the hood; but most of them come in without a hood & fiberglass will fly off more easily than an origional steel unit...

i have the stock hood on my car with an active hood scoop built onto it and when its windy enough the wind gets under the scoop and the hood flexes like a bitch scares the **** out of me cause its enough to make the car move around on the road. im getting pins just to make sure my hood doesnt force itself off

O.k. guys I bought some hood pins. I bought the locking ones and one is bigger than the other. I also have to drill a reletively BIG hole in my hood( which I don't want to do) to make them fit. Do you guys suggest I use these or should I just go back to the regular (and cheaper) ones?? Just looking for some feed back. I have a picture of what I'm talking about posted below.Thanxs for any input!!

The video that we all saw with that black SN95 Mustang that lost the hood on that 1/4 mile run......it went up like 30 feet in the air and landed perfectly! No damage at all!

I understand that I'll have to drill for any pins but the hole for this kit is HUGE!! I don't think I want to drill a hole that's over a half inch in diameter in my $400 hood. Why did they make one pin bigger than the other? Wouldn't that look awkward once its installed? Hey 5.0_PR where can I see this video?
