MASS AIR METER?COMPUTER?TUNING PROBLEM.
all that crap about "clocking the meter" backfired on me i guess?
if i turn it/twist it towards fender..it has a hard time starting up when cold.then it feels like it has a miss if i'm in high gear running at lower mph like 30-40mph.
now if i turn it the other way it starts up great idles perfect, but when i come to a stop the idle goes crazy up and down till i come to a complete stop.kinda annoying.
codes have been cleaned up/for what i can control.
everything has been cleaned/checked...except plugs/o2's,but plugs were cleaned before reinstall .
is my computer having a hard time adj. to specific ranges?
meter is a pro-m 75.never had a problem with it.
any suggestions?...or same experiences?

RE: MASS AIR METER?COMPUTER?TUNING PROBLEM.
Did you do the base idle/TPS re-cal?.....(ignore the cleaning steps) clear system and let it re-learn. My 2ยข.

RE: MASS AIR METER?COMPUTER?TUNING PROBLEM.
I doubt your computer is junk. If you take it to a good tuner they can clear up any drivability issues your having with a custom chip. Ive been having the same problem, come to find out it was my MAF all along. I got a new 75mm pro-m and got rid of the 76mm c&l and it was like night and day once the computer figured out how to read the new MAF

RE: MASS AIR METER?COMPUTER?TUNING PROBLEM.
its not your computer it's your aftermarket MAF and the way they fool the
EEC. When changing injectors and MAF i think your really supposed to get a chip
change to tell the computer.
Here's an interesting quote off the kennebell web site
" Changing or upgrading to a larger mass air flow meter and larger injectors requires a new chip or EEC to maintain driveability and to prevent "over advancing" of ignition timing and the resultant detonation under load conditions. Instead of incorporating a chip to properly calibrate fuel spark and load, the larger meters we've seen only lower the meter output voltage to the EEC to compensate for the larger injectors. Although this voltage change may "fool" the EEC at WOT (wide open throttle) and "pegged" load, it also, unfortunately, adversely affects the other LOAD, fuel and spark tables as they also see this lower "phony" voltage as an indicator of LESS air flow. So thinking there is LESS air flow than there really is under high load conditions, the meter signals the EEC to advance the timing and lean out the mixture. Check out the "load table" and note how at 2500 RPM and WOT load should be .5 and 29ยฐ of advance, but instead it is .3 and 40ยฐ because of the phony voltage signals. "
