Does it really matter what spark plugs and wires i use in my 92 gt? Are the better ones really worth it?

the ones in it now are bosch platinum, and how would i know if theyre still in good shape?

Usually the back of any Haynes manual, etc. has a visual reference guide for spark plug diagnosis. You can find it on places on the internet as well. This will tell you if something is specifically wrong with them. Mileage or age will also necessitate replacement; particularly mileage. I have never been a fan of platinum anyways, but that's me...

I use autolite plugs (plain ol regular) and high performance wires... like ford racing or msd...

ive got e3 plugs & 9mm wires -plugs helped out the gas alot and pwer.

5.0 &ff did a article on hi per. plugs and w/ just a plug change they got 7hp & like 2 ftlbs on a 2003 cobra

i run autolites and 9mm ford racing wires, and they work great

Ditto! I can't rember how much the plugs are but you can get the ffrp 9mm's for 45 bucks. Not expensive by any means.
