im thinking its just slow bro. i mean they run ok but an auto older tang really dont run that good. my cars a 5spd and it was slow too. but id say if you put in a 4:10 gear youd like it a lil more.

Timming, timming, timming..... Set the timming and make sure that you are on the right cylinder. Cylinder number 1 and try the timming at 12-14 degrees BTDC.
If that is all good, then a set of 4:10 gears and a 2500 stall torque converter should help you with the take off.
does it feel like a bog or is the take off not fast enough for you.

run your gas tank to "E" then fill up with 93 octane and a bottle of Techron.
find your timing marks and use a marker or chalk to highlight them. When you use your timing light you can see them much better.
Advance your timing to about 15 and take it for a spin. If you dont hear pinging or pre detonation and you like the feel leave it.
Also try a can of Seafoam. I did today and all I can say is "Fock"!
