Timming, timming, timming..... Set the timming and make sure that you are on the right cylinder. Cylinder number 1 and try the timming at 12-14 degrees BTDC.

If that is all good, then a set of 4:10 gears and a 2500 stall torque converter should help you with the take off.

does it feel like a bog or is the take off not fast enough for you.

run your gas tank to "E" then fill up with 93 octane and a bottle of Techron.

find your timing marks and use a marker or chalk to highlight them. When you use your timing light you can see them much better.

Advance your timing to about 15 and take it for a spin. If you dont hear pinging or pre detonation and you like the feel leave it.

Also try a can of Seafoam. I did today and all I can say is "Fock"!

MY 1991 MUSTANG IS VERY SLOW OFF THE LINE I HAVE STOCK 5.0 104,000 MILES AOD
you got a time/distance you could give us?? everybody defines 'slow' differently... i got a bicycle... couple big tractors... i'd say those are slow too -- is your car THAT slow?
