what do u mean backfiring? it should not backfire with only 10* it would backfire more at 12*or higher. i run 12 advanced than 5degrees in cam. a 302 has a rumble/backfire/poping thing going on when u let off but thats normal. with ur mods you should pass no problem.

You think it's possible that that hypertech power module installed was really screwing with everything? I had that in with these mods when I took the emissions test last year.

I took the chip out on Sat. and the car feels 15hp stronger, torqueier, lasts longer in the band, and doesn't make any weird noises at yellow anymore like it did with the chip.

I remember that before I put the CAI, MAF, or manifold on the car, it ran perfectly into yellow and everything, after the manifold and all that it made this noise RIGHT when I got into yellow like raking cement, and since Sat, it sounds and acts NEW all the to 7 (the stupid *** pedal got stuck under the carpet 15 minutes after I took the chip out while on the test drive).

Think that chip was the problem? The thing was upping the timing more so maybe it thought it was supposed to be @ 14?! No pinging or anything ever...

Think I should just go pay $50 for the hell of it and get it smogged?
