Is the Z what you have, or are you looking for a replacement for a stock WC T5? First off, spend the $ and get one that won't break. The Z is only rated a little higher than a stock T5, so it's not worth the money if you will/do have any mods. Look at Tremec or Gforce.

I've been running a T5Z(I bought new in the crate) for 2 years now.... What combo are you going to put it behind?

I drag race more than anybody i know(according to the racer's I talk too). I run slicks, launch at 6,200+ rpm, stage 4 clutch, 300\300 at the tires, I commute 75 miles a day, & it has not gone & broke on me yet. I like the lower overdive; makes daily driving with 4.10's on the freeway no problem(2,500 rpm normal at speed). The only thing i dislike with my "low torque at idle" motor is trying to acellerate smoothly from a stop with the 2.95 first gear. This is mainly due to the power range of my motor(mid to high) & grabby clutch(that'll take the abuse I dish out; but is very difficult to slip). I have no regrets really; it's been a great trans..... Hope that helps....
