You can fit a 295\50\15 on a 15\8" rim. The manuals usually specify the minimum rim size as 15x8" to 15x10" being acceptable...

295s will not fit a 8" rim... you would want to run a 10"

i was thinking of 17x8's for some reason.... lol

RE: Will a 295-50-15 fit
I have seen 295's on a capri before with 10 inch rims, he had to bash the fender in and it rubs when he turns.
a 255 is the biggest I would fit on a turbine rim.
I use 245-60-15 tires and they have NO TRACTION COMPARED TO THE MICKEY THOMPSON tires.

I run 295 50 15 on my car with a prostar 10 wide rim on a 6.5 inch back space. They run fine and are under the car. I would not say I had to bash in the inner wheel tub but I did tweek it a little with a hammer. They will also run on an 8 inch rim with a 5.5 inch back space.
