The PMS and the Tweecer are looking like the best options. The Tweecer is about $550 and the PMS is around $900.

Any pros and cons from those of you that own these?

tweecer all the way
Thanks, Adder.

Anyone else besides those that have replied already?

Do you need to tell Tweecer what mods you have before ordering the programmer so that way they can make a program for you? Or do you tune the car yourself upon receiver the programmer?

you tune the tweecer itself... its unlike any other system on the market because you go directly into your computer and change ANY variable... most tuners have limits... tweecer.. does not

its something you will have to spend some time with... its a very complex system and will require alot of work on your behalf to understand. you should hit tweecers website and read up about it. I myself have already downloaded all the software and have been doing emulations and browsing through the settings IN the software, so that way I will understand it more fully when i buy mine

you may also want to look into a wideband o2 system like the Innovate Motorsports LM-1 or even the LC-1

these will allow you to do alot of tuning WITHOUT a dyno

Can you tune in real time with the TWEECER?

BTW, the AEM, TEC3, MoTeC are all WAY more open ended than a full blown reprogrammer like the TWEECER but also like 5X the price. That being said, it looks like most things can be taken care of with the TWEECER as long as you are keeping stock sensors (other than MAF), etc.

no, the tweecer cannot be tuned in real time. you must "burn" to the "chip" however you can simply make your changes, shut off the car, burn the changes in.. and start it up and go again.. so its a minor inconvienece

yes.. the AEM is probably MUCH better... but the motec uses a brand new wiring harness... and im sure the electromotive tec3 does also.. the tweecer simply plugs into the back of the stock EEC computer
