im losing my crappy T5....knew she would go before 100grand.....shes really acting up....need to know the best place to get a rebuilt T5 for temporary use....she'll get her nice tremec next year.....but thats too long to wait until the T5 goes.....any ideas....the cheapest ive found is $845 with a $100 core exchange....any help is appreciated....thanks, jenna

Why not get a Tremec now? Why pay like 845$ when you can save another 200-500$ for a Tremec? I mean in all honesty I would just wait until you are sure it's about to go and get a Tremec. Buying a rebuilt for a while is a waste or you could always check out Corral.net/classifieds

Hey girl, you can get a TKO for the same price as a used T5 if that's the best price you can find. TKO trannies will handle a lot more abuse than the T5 so you have room to grow with your mods. Do some searching around the internet. I've seen it as low as a thousand bucks.

the thing about getting it now is that im in college...im moving....getting married...and i cant really afford the tremec until next year....and i still have to have my car to drive....so thats why im going for the rebuilt T5 which i will sell for cheap anyways....i just need it long enough to budget the TKO...jenna
