trick flow stage 1 or stage 2 cam?
OK i have been trying to decide on what cam to get for my 86 gt for some time now. Alot of people said the stage 1 trick flow was the way to go, but i was thinking maybe the stage 2 would be a little more aggressive. I have 190cc runner alum head and 2.02/1.60 valves. 1.6 rocker and stock short block. pistons will be notched for clearance. I was told that i need more duration for th 190cc runner. I have looked comp cam and they said go with the 35-351-8, but the guy building my car likes the comp cam 35-556-8 because of the duration and he read up on a 302 with it in hotrod. He is a chevy man so doesnt know much about fords. Comp cams seem to be alot higher than trick flow as well. I want this to be a streatable cam but also be on the strip some. I want the sound as well, but I wan performance first. i have a edlebrock performer intake 65mm tb, 24lb mass air meter, cai, 24lb injectors, 3.73 gears, world class t5 tranny, fpr, and 150 fuel pump. 94 computer.

RE: trick flow stage 1 or stage 2 cam?
I think for you the stage 1 will work better because of the rest of your parts are for more street friendly driving.
If you had the holley systemax intake, 70mm throttle body, 75-77mm mass air meter then i would say go with the stage two cam as it sounds very nice. It works very well for me but i have a 351 lightning shortblock and Trickflow heads, as well as a performer rpm intake.
If you notch your pistons then i would reccomend the stage 2.
