Ok guys Im taking your advice and doing the headers in a couple of weeks, but I still need to get an x-pipe and cat-back. Does this x-pipe look okay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979-...temZ8068007621 I would cover the thing in high temp spray paint to reduce rust, but is there a sound difference between one brand of x-pipe to another? Or is it all in the mufflers?

i have the headers you are talking about, they look good, and the coating is awesome..3rd year, still look like new. but, they bends arent mandrel (pretty well no power gain), and fitment was bad.. i had to drill out probably half the holes to fit bitter.

X-pipe sounds more raspy and give you a little more hp over the h

H-pipe sounds deeper and louder then the x

Oh I know that , lol. Thats not what I meant. I was wondering If a Borla, BBK, MAC, and any other brand x-pipe would all sound the same, or do the manufacturers somehow "tune" the sound of the pipe. So basically is a cheapo one going to sound like $hit?
