I have a 1994 5.0, I had to replace the battery and alternator because they both went bad. Now with the new parts my amp gauge won't get above 10 amps and my temp and oil pressure gauge are in the reed all the time. Oh yeah my car won't start either. I have underdrive pulleys, cold air intake, equal length shorty headers, off road h-pipe. I replaced the trow out bearing about 3-4 years ago but have only 2,000 miles on the car since that. I may need a new clutch.

Battery tests good with a volt meter. I haven't yet had the alternator tested.

the neg. batt. cable that goes from the batt. to the block will go bad with age
i had that problem a couple years ago, so maybe check into that
