but it could also be evaporating or just overfilling the overflow tank.

Man...i hope its not a head gasket. What are some other symptoms of a blown head gasket? Things that i could look for? It is also harder to start than it used to be. After is starts it idles pretty rough for a few seconds but i thought this was just because its only been driven 2 or 3 times in the past 10 months. If it is a blown head gasket why did it drive ok for 60 miles then suddenly start acting wierd. Could it be air pockets in the cooling system?

It would run rough and smoke like crazy out the t-pipe. Take it somewhere else and get another opinion.

bring it back to the mechanic and have him pressure test the cooling system... some times it is the only way to find the leak.

my cobra does the same thing... except it takes a month to go low... i have a very small crack in my radiator that doesnt drip any coolant until you get out on the road and start driving... which is when the car really builds pressure in the system

have it pressure checked.... its probably coming from somewhere REALLY dumb

How much would it cost for a pressure test on the cooling system?
