Default trany removal, please help

Ok, I took the four bolts off of the trany to the bell housing but I cannot get the trany out. Did I miss something? The trany will move side to side but I cannot get it to slide back and out. PLEASE help.

Lift up as you pull back. Sometimes the trans will corrode to the bellhousing. You might just not be puttin enough *** behind it.

Under the car...

(2) bolts under the cross member right about the area of your shifter.....

Don't forget to remove the cable on the drivers side!!

Good luck,
Ivan

if it's a T5 also make sure to take out those flywheel cover bolts, that cover goes in front of the flywheel and won't let the tranny come off if the bolts are still on it. I wrestled with mine for like 15 minutes before I was like "oh.... DUH"

Thanks for all of the tips everyone, I finally got it out. What a pain in the ***. It should be real fun putting it back in. The sad thing is I do not have the cash to get a new tranny so I am going to have to do it again in a month or two.
