Injectors & Alternator Question (not related)
Hello all...
2 questions, neither related, but i didnt particularly feel the need to make 2 posts. so here goes.
I'm going to be using an electric fan on my 93 GT, in addition to a subwoofer amp, and wanted to upgrade my alternator to 130-140 amps. After I do this I was going to go ahead and put on my underdrive pulley for the alternator, to keep it "polished" look. Does anybody make a direct replacement for the 87-93 alternator in this output range without having to use a 94+, since they don't use the same connectors and i'd have to fudge with the wiring?
Also:
At what point would you upgrade your injectors to 24lbs from 19lbs. I plan on doing headers, h-pipe exhaust (at the same time), then aluminum pulleys, then BBK CAI, then MAF & TB (at the same time, going with C&L maf so i can just change the tube), then intake manifold, then heads & cam (at same time). In that order. At what point would you change out the injectors? Thanks.

You won't need the larger injectors until you do the h/c/i swap. Save your money until then.

RE: Injectors & Alternator Question (not related)
i just did the alternator upgrade on my 88gt about a month ago. i bought a 3g alternator that would fit the 94-95 model. i had to grind away some bracket material to fit it in there, and redo just a couple wires. i honestly had the job done in 2 hours, which includes --- pulling the car in, poppin the hood, etc.. turning on my shop stereo, picking a cd.. finding my trouble light, movin tools to the car... "doin the job" and then cleaning everything up ~~~ 2 hours its really not that bad. and there are awesome tech articles available online here... so good luck with whatever you decide to do!

1--The 3g alt conversion is very simple to do...I don't know about re-using the stock alt... Just do a google search for "3g alternator wiring" and you'll find several how to's w/ pics.
2--You won't need 24#ers until you do the H/C/I swap. You'll also need to get your MAF recalibrated or buy the correct sample tube, depending which MAF you have.
