MAF Clocking

MAF Clocking
So I was searching through the threads and I could not find a thread about clocking, I know there was one, but I think it has been purged. I was thinking about clocking mine because I smell gas from my exhaust, and was intending to give clocking a try. My LX Notch killed my GT when I raced my brother, and it is time to fix my problem. I do get code 31, which is something about EVP. I am not sure what to replace, but on that note I would like to know which way I am suppose to clock the sensor. Is it toward fender to make it lean?

RE: MAF Clocking
its possible that a faulty EGR Valve Position (EVP) Sensor is causing the 31, or it could be that your EGR Valve is sticking.
as far as i know there is no science in clocking the maf, just experiment with it until you think its right.

RE: MAF Clocking
im still not sure if it actually works, I think it initially works, then the computer figures out what you did and recalibrates itself. No matter what you do to these engines the damn EEC is still going to give it the Air Fuel mixture thats programmed into it, the only real way to get a big change is by getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and leaning the hell out of it. Even if you put 50psi to the fuel rails the EEC is still only going to let so much fuel in at a time....

Where would I get a new EVP sensor?

Do you guys think my MAF being in an aftermarket CAI (off the bracket) would affect my A/F ratio, since it's positioned differentley?
