Hum in 5th gear....
I'm fairly sure this is my shaft u-joints. I got a 'hum', basically only in 5th gear at highway speed (~65). It's is loudest when I'm OFF the gas. Quiets a little when I step on the throttle. SLIGHTLY noticeable in 4th gear (at the same speed and same throttle conditions). No clunking or noise in any other gear if I'm or or off the gas.
What do you guys think?

it's steady when I'm off the gas, then lowers slightly (but still a steady hum) when I step back on the gas. Only high (4/5) gear, mostly 5th.

ya it might be the u-joints. how long has this humming been going on? in my truck it hummed for like a day then my drive shaft fell off so you might wanna look into that when i took the u-joints off some of the bearings were rusted w/ little to no grease in them. and if you do get new u_joints i would go with the ones that you can put greas into not the sealed ones cuz the grease can leak out even tho they say it doesnt
