so i was at the track last night did a few runs... my last run i had a good run and got to the end of the track..had no powersteering... battery light was on...temperature was climbing...the guy that hands me my time slip says, "your belt is on the track"...Fu*k i think. im thinking the worst, so when i hit the pits i pulled off the hood and my water pump pulley was gone!!! well the back was still bolted on ant the rest of it is just gone.

WTF would cause the pulley to explode?
ive never herd of that happening. it wasnt a stock one. so it wasnt too old.
any answers?? im puzzled

 

Coulda just been one of those things, could have been a manufacturing problem with that one pulley or something else random.

Maybe came loose, turned lopsided and got crazy.

thanks, it sucked but i have a set of mac's on order. ill live. i was thinkingon replacing that pos stock fan with an electric fan whilr im working on it.

89 ive had it for 3 years, and the pullies i dont know what kind they are, theyre blue and underdrive.

 

Im going to guess Ford Racing. Only ones I have seen that come in blue.
