Default Help!Your advice is needed ASAP!

I am looking at getting a 91 Gt , but it has a few things that are issues for me. This will be a daily driver, and will do several long trips with my wife and 2 kids. The guy chopped the springs and the car is too low. Even when empty, imagine loaded with the family...How much am I looking at for a suspension fix to bring it back up? The hazard lights work, but the turn signals do not? Am I looking at a electrical nightmare, or this could maybe be just a relay? The fuel guage does not work either, how much am I looking at? Last of all, he cut the shifter in half to have a shorty, and the ball just sits on top of the shifter now all loose, Is it expensive to change just the shifter itself? He was originally asking $8 000 brought it down to $7 000 - (he is buying a house , needs the cash)He said he would let it go for $6000 The motor was rebuilt completelt 10000km ago. Am I looking at a good buy here, or is it going to be a fortune to fix this pony? Thanks, I appreciate your opinions!!

Thats high for what you're getting. And it sounds like the guy was a real hack with the stang. For that kind of money it should be a clean car.

Thats definetly WAYYYYY to much for a 5.0, even a really clean one let alone one w/ problems. The problems that you have could all be easy fixes BUT if your spending that much money it should have NO problems. I just picked up a 93 GT ALL ORIGINAL female owned 84K, brand new trans, etc. in GREAT condition for 5K. I definetly wouldnt pay more than that for it. How does the paint look? body? etc.

It would be nice to see some pictures if you have them.

If you wanted you could just replace the springs w/ stock ones. If you did it yourself it wouldnt be that hard but if you took it somewhere they might charge a decent amount of cash.

The gauges could be a few different things so you would have to experiment w/ that and when I see wires I see question marks so Im not commenting on this lol

With the shifter, a new shifter is not that expensive and an easy install. This guy definetly didnt care about the car that much if hes cutting shifters in half.

Honestly, I would probably keep on looking. These are some bad signs and for the money you are spending.... thats NOT what you want.
