Default Weird power issue...

I'll start my car, and start driving... My power to the engine and the stereo turns off very momentarily... Sometimes does this 4 times, sometime never... Any clue? When engine cuts out, if I am not ready my car will jump due to the clutch not being pushed in. Really odd, and would be kinda of scary if it did it during high-speeds. Always seems to go away within 5minutes of the first, it's like a cold-start issue.

So what you're saying is you car goes kaput for a brief period of time during the cold-start-warmup? Does it buck without the clutch depressed while it's in NEUTRAL?

I usually react a little to slow, but yes the engine cuts out for a brief moment, it is awkward...

My stang does that also. If I get in the car (after sitting all night), start it and immediatly start driving it almost stalls out but if I let it idle for like a minute before i drive its perfect and it doesnt do it.

This may sound obvious...but let it warm up before you leave the driveway. 5-10 mins should do the dizzy.

this sounds exactly like what mine did when the ignition switch went out. to rule out other possibilities you may want to check codes http://www.my5oh.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=190 , but it really sounds like its the ignition switch located in your steering column

I heard switching out the ignition is something common, needs a new connector or something?
