The GT40P's will flow more air/fuel than the E7's, therefore making more power, and if you can pick them up cheap, they'll make more power for cheaper than paying to get your E7s ported.
About home porting of the E7's, probably not a good idea. There are places that port them professionally, but it's not the same as porting an intake for instance. Not only is the runner length and diameter important, but each of them are intrinsic to the amount of power you will make, and at what RPM.
If you just grind out the intake and exhaust runners as much as possible, your car will probably lose power, although i'm assuming you would read up on this before doing any porting.

i say look up info yaself.half of the post here go off of whay a person heard from another....there are alotta flow charts ou tthere online..just look up.. just a set of heads no cost worries and p erf AFRS, i like edelbrock rpms with 202/16 vales...have them ported and they flow 280s...i paid 1g for them and had ported for 350.00 a lil more them afrs and i flow more...but look at avg flow and velocity,not just peak #s...i like windsor jrs tooo...for the $ they are good...
